She opened up to a news outlet about getting into character and snapping out of it. When asked about it, she provided an amusing incident about being chastised for acting like one of her characters. To perform properly, the actress immersed herself in the role of Sonia from Aitraaz, which she carried with her long after the film ended.


Priyanka Chopra claimed in a recent interview with Film Companion that she gets into character because she is a

disciplined performer. The actress recalled how, like Sonia, she used to move slowly, speak slowly, take up coffee slowly, and stare slowly.

This was seen by her mother, Madhu Chopra, who chastised her and told her to snap it out when she returned home. Her mother even videotaped her to show her how she truly acted, which mortified her. The actor adds that she was young and anxious at the time. This was a significant part, and she took it home because she didn’t want to get it wrong. Priyanka discussed working with Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor.

On the professional front, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has an impressive slate of future projects. Aside from Citadel, which will be available on Amazon Prime Video on April 28th, she has the romance drama Love Again coming out in May. She is also working on a Bollywood production. In Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, she will appear with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. The actress recently launched Heads of State with John Cena and Idris Elba.
