In a recent interview, Bollywood actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Shamita Shetty revealed about living under the shadow of her sister, Shilpa Shetty Kundra. After winning millions of hearts with her spell in Bigg Boss 15, Shamita Shetty is delighting all the love from her fans, friends, and family. Shamita Shetty had faced many personal sallys inside the Bigg Boss house, but she had spoken her heart out and impressed her fans.
Even during her difficult time, her sister, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had become a pillar of strength for her. She had encouraged her and had taken a stand for her whenever she needed it from outside of the Bigg Boss house. They have given us huge inspiring sister goals as we have seen them together mostly. They never miss an opportunity to cheer praises and love on each other. Although, the actress Shamita Shetty revealed how she was always compared to her sister, Shilpa Shetty Kundra.
In an interview with ETimes TV, Shamita Shetty revealed living under the shadow of her sister, Shilpa Shetty. She stated how people thought that it was easy for her to stay in Bollywood as her sister was a prominent actress. She revealed that she was persistently compared to Shilpa Shetty and added that people are always looking forward to her.
She expressed: “I am so happy that people gave me this chance to show my true self. I am so happy they kept me till the end and let me play this game my way. A lot of people out there don’t understand how difficult it has been for me in the industry. In Bollywood, it was a struggle for me and my sister Shilpa knows it. I thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to be on Bigg Boss and be myself. I am happy that I could stand by my values, principles and didn’t let the game or the house change my real personality till the end.”
Also, she revealed the personal attacks made on her during the show, Bigg Boss 15, and said that was the moment when she had broken down in the Bigg Boss house. She stated: “There were a lot of people who came in with a preconceived notion or idea of me and they changed their thoughts about me when they got to know me. I am so happy that happened. It was very difficult and there were many times when I told myself is it really worth inflicting myself with so much emotional pain. But I am glad I decided to continue with the journey and reached the end. I am proud of myself that I managed to stick to my values and my principles.”
On February 2, 2022, Bigg Boss 15 third runner-up, Shamita Shetty, celebrated her birthday. Her sister, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had shared a post on her Instagram handle and had shared a video that had a glimpse of some unseen pictures with a heart-touching note for her ‘Tigress’.
Sharing the pictures, Shilpa Shetty had written: “This is how I want to see u always… HAPPY! Wishing you all that and more, my Tunki… my tigress. May this birthday unfold many happy surprises and may all your incredible dreams manifest into reality. Love you and sooo proud of you! Have a great year, my jaan, and may you be blessed with abundance always.”
On the work front, Shamita Shetty’s star is in the lead role. ‘The Tenant’ film has been directed by Sushrut Jain.
