Sushant Singh Rajput left his fans heartbroken after allegedly committing suicide in 2020 at his apartment. His untimely demise left his friends and family in shock, and the actor’s family didn’t allow his then-partner Rhea Chakraborty to participate in his last rites. She was accused of providing the actor with drugs and abetting his suicide. In her recent interview, Rhea Chakraborty has now spoken about the whole incident after three years. Sushant’s sister immediately reacted to her interview and questioned her conscience. However, superstar Samantha has lauded the actress and called her a hero.

Rhea Chakraborty Breaks Silence on Sushant’s Death

During India Today’s conclave session in Mumbai, Rhea narrated the dark phase she went through. Rhea also talked about the time she had to spend in jail. Her brother Shovik was also jailed in the same case. The actress revealed that when she was granted bail, she was happy and relieved but also sad because her brother couldn’t get bail.

Rhea also revealed that on her last day in jail, she did a ‘naagin’ dance for her inmates. According to her, if her dance could put a smile on the inmates for a while, then why not? She said that in jail, she understood the meaning of finding happiness in small things.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu Calls Rhea a Hero

Rhea Chakraborty took to her Instagram handle and shared a clip from the conclave. In the video, she could be seen speaking about Sushant’s death and how she came through that phase. Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared the same clip and called the actress a ‘hero’. Rhea noticed the post shared by Samantha and wrote ‘right back at you’.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rhea Chakraborty is currently working as a judge on ‘Roadies’. She mentioned that she herself has turned down several projects because she doesn’t want people to get trolled because of her.
