Urvashi Rautela is a celebrity who is hard to ignore, whether she’s dazzling at Cannes, dancing in Instagram reels, or simply making headlines with her statements. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Urvashi candidly discussed her upcoming work, experiences with trolls, and her journey in the entertainment industry.
With millions of Instagram followers, Urvashi is no stranger to criticism. However, she remains unfazed. “I have always believed that the best way to deal with trolls is not to deal with them at all,” she stated. She added, “Faceless people with social media accounts cannot pass judgments on me or define my self-worth, potential, and work. They might have the privilege and platform to do so, but I’m not going to give them the power to bother me. I’m focused on my work, fans, and family.”
Since her debut in Hindi films in 2013, Urvashi ventured into Telugu cinema a decade later. Though she has not yet featured in a full-fledged role, she has made impactful appearances in special numbers like “Boss Party” from Chiranjeevi-starrer Waltair Veerya, “Wild Saala” from Akhil Akkineni-starrer Agent, and “My Dear Markendeya” from Sai Dharam Tej and Pawan Kalyan-starrer Bro.
When asked about being typecast in the South Indian film industry, Urvashi emphasised the impact of her performances over screen time. “More than my screen time, the impact these songs create matters to me. My heart is full of love because those who like me, do so irrespective of it all. There’s a lot of great stuff happening, and if all goes well, you will see a lot more of me,” she shared.
Urvashi also hinted at her role in director Bobby’s upcoming project, NBK 109, with Balakrishna and Bobby Deol, without revealing much. She expressed admiration for Balakrishna, calling him a “living legend and a cult personality,” and spoke of their strong professional rapport.
Currently, in Hyderabad, Urvashi is shooting for the film and recuperating from an injury sustained during an action sequence. Despite her dietary restrictions, she praised the city’s cuisine, especially its dosa and biryani.
Looking ahead, Urvashi has a busy slate with projects including Welcome 3 with Akshay Kumar, Kasoor with Jassie Gill and Aftab Shivdasani, Baap with Sunny Deol and Sanjay Dutt, Inspector Avinash 2 with Randeep Hooda, and the film Black Rose. She also teased an exciting Tamil project, expressing gratitude for the opportunities and support from her fans.
