Bigg Boss season 14 saw its grand finale on Sunday, Feb 21. Rubina Dilaik emerged as the winner of the show while Rahul Vaidya became the first runner-up. Rubina had entered the controversial show with her husband Abhinav Shukla, who was evicted a week before the finale. During their stint in Bigg Boss house, the couple was hitting the headlines owing to their marriage life. During one of the episodes in November, Abhinav Shukla’s wife, Rubina Dilaik had revealed that the two were about to get divorced and had given their relationship a chance till December. Now, in a recent interview, Abhinav Shukla spilled the beans on why the two were heading for a divorce.
In a radio show with Siddharth Kannan, Abhinav was asked what was the bone of contention between him and Rubina, he replied, “Well, if I honestly tell you, you will laugh. I forgot to bring her coffee. I am not kidding.” Explaining further he said, “See, there were things. We are two very strong individuals. We have very strong opinions aur dono ki soch aapne toh dekh hi liya hoga Bigg Boss mein, alag-alag hai. Toh jab woh soch clash hoti hai, sparks fly. Lockdown was a difficult phase for everyone, and so it was for us. We gave ourselves six months.”
Abhinav said that he and Rubina had decided that if things do not improve between them, they would end their marriage. However, when they came on Bigg Boss 14 together, they changed their opinion about each other. While they would earlier find the other ‘unreasonable’, they felt that they were quite sorted, in comparison to other contestants.
