Despite being open about their relationship, the couple has managed to keep much of it away from the public eye. Recently, Vijay Varma revealed that while their relationship isn’t hidden, many aspects are intentionally kept private.
In a candid conversation with Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel, Vijay shared that the couple has over 5,000 photos together, none of which are on social media. “These are meant to be kept between us,” he explained, underscoring their desire to maintain certain boundaries. He also noted that he didn’t want to hide his feelings, remarking, “Everyone has an inner ‘bua’ who wants to know everything.”
When asked about the decision to go public with their relationship, Vijay explained that he and Tamannaah mutually agreed that if they genuinely enjoyed each other’s company, there was no reason to keep it a secret. “Hiding a relationship takes a lot of effort, like avoiding going out together or stopping friends from taking photos. I didn’t want to be caged. I didn’t want to cage my feelings,” he said.
While the couple’s relationship has garnered significant public attention, Vijay admitted that he sometimes worries it might overshadow his work. He humorously commented on society’s obsession with personal lives, saying, “Sabke andar ek bua hai,” referring to the curiosity that people have about others’ relationships. However, he acknowledged that despite this, his work continues to be appreciated.
Tamannaah, in an earlier interview with Film Companion, shared insights into their bond, describing it as natural and effortless. She praised Vijay for approaching her with his defenses down, which made it easy for her to do the same. The Stree 2 actress emphasized that being able to be herself in the relationship was crucial, highlighting their shared laughter and deep connection. She referred to Vijay as her “happy place,” underscoring the emotional depth of their relationship.
