Badhaai Do, the sequel of Badhaai Ho stars Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles. The trailer of the movie is set to release today i.e, January 25. The makers and actors of the movie shared the first look of the movie, yesterday.
In the first look of the movie, the leading stars Rajkumar and Bhumi could be seen dressed in their wedding accessories with their professional clothes. We are still unaware whether the supporting cast of Badhaai Ho will be joining the cast of Badhaai Do or not. The movie Badhaai Ho starred Ayushmann Khurana, Sanya Malhotra, Gajraj Rao and Surekha Sikri.
As of now, we know that Rajkumar Rao plays the role of Shardul Thakur (a police officer) whereas Bhumi plays the role of Suman (a P.T Teacher). Some time ago, Rajkumar had shared a glimpse of his physical transformation for the movie. The actor shared the picture and wrote, “#ShardulThakur in #BadhaaiDo. Being a pure vegetarian and to strictly avoid any kind of steroids, it wasn’t easy to get this transformation but nothing seems impossible when you love what you do. #BadhaaiDo is a film which is really close to my heart and we had a blast shooting this film.”
The director of Badhaai Do is Harshvardhan Kulkarni. He had earlier directed Gulshan Devaiah’s Hunterr, which got released in 2015. The script of the movie has been written by Suman Adhikary and Akshat Ghildial. They had co-written Badhai Ho.
Reportedly, the movie is set to release in February depending upon the covid situation.
