Nushratt Bharuccha’s next film will be “Janhit Mein Jaari,” in which she will play the role of a young woman. Nushrratt Bharuccha says she did Pyaar Ka Punchnama on the advice of her LSD co-star Rajkumar Rao. Nushrratt Bharuccha has been in the industry for longer than you might think. “Love Sex Aur Dhokha,” “Pyaar Ka Punchnama,” “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety,” “Chhalaang,” and “Chhorii” were all released after she made her Hindi film debut in Jai Santoshi Maa (2006).
In the meantime, the actress is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film “Janhit Mein Jaari.” Currently, Nushrratt Bharuccha is one of the leading actresses in Bollywood. She recently spoke to the Indian Express about her upcoming film Pyaar Ka Punchnama, in which she co-stars with Kartik Aaryan, and revealed that Rajkummar Rao advised her to do it.
The actress told the news portal that she had initially refused to do Pyaar Ka Punchnama because she wanted to do more films in that genre after the success of ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’ (LSD) and that it was her LSD co-stars Raj (Rajkummar Rao) and Amit (Sial) who persuaded her to do it. “Many people don’t get this kind of opportunity,” Rajkummar told Nushratt, recalling Rajkummar’s advice. Just do it, even if you don’t want to right now. You will reach a phase in your life when you’ll pick what you want to do.”
Since the trailer for her upcoming film, Janhit Mein Jaari, was released, the actress has been asked how and why she decided to do a film with an ensemble cast. It’s not a big-budget film with a big cast. It is a film led by one actor. Nushratt explained that the actor happens to be a woman.
Speaking more about the film, she stated, “When today there is a woman headlining a film, why can’t it be called her film? I am not a new girl. Why can’t you call it a Nushratt Bharuccha film? Why is it so difficult to give that due to a female actor? I don’t know. Is it because I don’t have that kind of support or backing, or because I don’t have people posting about me? I have never had it. I have never had machinery working around me.”
Her upcoming film, Janhit Mein Jaari, follows a woman from a small town in Madhya Pradesh who faces challenges as a result of the social taboo surrounding condoms, as she fights back against her family and neighbors. Jai Basantu Singh makes his feature directorial debut with this film. The film will be released in theaters on June 10th.
On the work front, Nushratt is currently anticipating the release of her upcoming film, Janhit Mein Jaari, in which she stars.
