It seems that the Mumbai drug case is getting complicated each day as more and more pieces of evidence are coming out in open. On 2nd October, the NCB team had busted a drug party on a cruise ship that was headed from Mumbai to Goa. The alleged rave party had many VIP guests onboard including Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and his friend Arbaaz Merchant.

The two were arrested by the NCB officials after the mandatory security check that helped the team to recover drugs from them. The duo later revealed that they are a member of a group consisting 8 people who have already boarded the cruise. Later, Arbaaz and Aryan were detained along with Munmun Dhamecha, Vikrant Chhoker, Ismeet Singh, Nupur Sarika, Gomit Chopra and Mohak Jaswal for questioning.

The one-day NCB custody of Arbaaz and Aryan got extended till the 7th after both were produced in front of the court. Since then, the families of both the accused have been trying hard to them bail in the case. According to reports, superstar Shah Rukh Khan has canceled all his shoots and has also switched off his phone. The NCB on the other hand is trying hard to detain as many people involved in the case and to bust the drug scandal.

However, the case going through many twist and turns after the lawyers of both Aryan and Arbaaz have given out their statement. According to Taraq Sayyed, who is the lawyer of Arbaaz Merchant has filed a bail application claiming that his client has no connection with the drug case whatsoever. The application further stated that the court should ask for the CCTV footage from the International Terminal of Mumbai Port Trust from 11.30 am to 8.30 pm on October 2. The plea mentioned that the footage could prove that the drugs were planted. The Court has asked the NCB to file their reply by Thursday.
