Currently, Jacqueline Fernandez is under the investigation of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for her alleged connection to conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. He is the prime accused in a Rs. 200 crore extortion case. On Sunday evening, Jacqueline was shortly delayed at the Mumbai airport based on a lookout circular issued by the Central Agency. Jacqueline is not allowed to go out of India and now the ED has summoned her to appear before the central agency in Delhi on December 8. Bollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez’s statement has been recorded twice earlier and she is being investigated as a witness in the case. She has also skipped multiple summonses in the past because of her hectic schedule. Apparently, on December 8, the central agency will be confronting her with the evidence they have collected.
According to the reports, the probe agency has filed a charge sheet in a Delhi court in a money laundering case. The charge sheet said that Sukesh has given the actress gifts worth Rs. 10 crores. The expensive gifts also included a horse worth Rs. 52 lakh and a Persian cat worth Rs. 9 lakh. In the charge sheet name of actor Nora Fatehi also included who allegedly received gifts worth Rs. 1 crore from Sukesh. Earlier sources from the airport revealed that the authorities had stopped her at the airport and had a sit down with Jacqueline and asked her to appear for all future ED summons. She was then allowed to leave the airport and go home. According to the outlook issued by the ED, Jacqueline can’t leave the country while the investigation is going on with regard to the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case
In the charge sheet, the Delhi Police has accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar and 13 others of tricking the wife of the former promoter of Ranbaxye of Rs 200 crore. In the middle of the controversy, it is being said that she will be replaced by Salman Khan’s film Dabangg as she cannot leave the country.
