Indian Idol 12: Aditya Narayan Says People Are Upset Because IPL Ended, Venting Their Anger On Indian Idol After The Show Faced Massive Backlash

Indian Idol 12 faced a lot of backlash and criticism after the whole Amit Kumar controversy. So those of you who have been living under the rocks let us give you a quick recap on what actually happened. Indian Idol 12 recently saw an episode where the singers and judges of the show paid tribute to legendary singer Ashok Kumar but the netizens felt that they are not doing justice to the singer’s legacy.

The netizens also demanded that the show should be banned after Ashok Kumar’s son who was invited as a chief guest on the show made some shocking revelations. He had revealed that he didn’t like the episode at all and wanted to stop it midway. He also said that he was told to praise the contestants irrespective of how they sang.

Now the host of the show Aditya Narayan has spoken about the criticism that the show is facing over the past few weeks.  In an interview with Bollywood spy, he had shared that he feels that people are simply frustrated that the IPL ended and taking it out on Indian Idol. He had stated,”I think do-teen hafte pehle IPL band hogaya. Uska saara gussa humpe nikal rahe hain (The IPL ended a couple of weeks ago. They are venting their anger at us).”

“Mummy papas have taken over the remote and they are watching Indian Idol. So our younger generation is unhappy. They don’t know where to vent their anger. Including myself, I feel this void too. As soon as it struck 7-7.30, I would get on it. I even made those cricket teams on phone apps. Over the last year and this year too, we are consuming anything that comes on TV a little too fervently. Only because we have too much time right now,”he added.

Stay tuned for more such gossips.
