And the first controversy around the contestants seems to have already started. It is with Sara Gurpal whose alleged husband has mysteriously come out and claimed marriage. Yesterday, there were reports in the media that a Punjabi Singer, Tushar Kumar, has claimed that Sara and he got married in the year 2014 and that she is lying about her single status.
Reportedly, Sara Gurpal was in an abusive relationship and due to the constant fights, they decided to part their ways. Now, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Tushar Kumar opened up about their separation. He said, “Sara and I were married for three years. We met through common friends in the beginning of 2014. Her first song had come out and I happened to know the director, and that’s how we got in touch. We started talking on Facebook and then I came to India and we spent time in Delhi, Chandigarh and Kasaul. That’s how we met.”
A copy of marriage certificate is making the rounds of the internet that says Tushar Kumar married Rachna Devi, real name of Sara Gurpal, as revealed by Tushar. He further claimed, “We were together from 2014 to 2017. Sara and I are separated but not legally divorced. So, she can say that she’s single but she keeps denying our marriage. Sara said in a few interviews that the girl with me in pictures is someone who looks like her. Toh woh ladki kaha hai woh bata do.” He now wants to confront her on national television and finish it off.
