Mother-daughter duo Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor are facing trouble. The two have received an arrest warrant from the district court of Begusurai, Bihar yesterday. The complaint claims of hurting sentiments through their content in the web series XXX season 2. According to a report in PTI, arrest warrants have been issued for insulting soldiers and hurting the sentiments of their family members.
The series is reportedly an erotic-comedy-drama web series that has shown soldiers in a bad light. a complaint has been filed against the mother and daughter by Shambhu Kumar and issued by judge Vikas Kumar. Shambhu Kumar is an ex-serviceman who lives in Begusarai, in his complaint he mentioned that the web series produced by Ekta Kapoor have objectionable content that has not only insulted the soldiers but has also shown their wives in an offensive way.
Talking to a media house, Shambhu’s lawyer Hrishikesh Pathak has mentioned that the warrant has been issued and the court has asked Ekta and her mother to appear and explain their side on the matter. So far, Ekta Kapoor has informed the court that the scenes were immediately removed after the general audience raised the objection. However, the duo didn’t appear in court in connection with the case, hence the warrant was issued.
The controversial series is an erotic drama named ‘XXX’ that was aired on the platform Alt Balaji which is run by Ekta Kapoor, till now the series already has had six seasons. Earlier, in 2020 an FIR was also registered against Ekta over showcasing obscene content.
