Bollywood star Amrita Rao and Radio jockey Anmol have opened up that they did not get married in 2016 but in 2014. The couple has spelled out why the wedding year was kept a secret. Bollywood elegant actress Amrita Rao and her husband RJ Anmol have recently revealed that they literally got married two years before what they have continued as their wedding date.
Recently, in a new video on their YouTube channel, in 2014 the couple Amrita and Anmol stated that they tied the knot in a secret wedding. This was done to make certain that the wedding news doesn’t hurdle Amrita Rao’s career. In the video, Anmol mentioned that after Amrita landed three big-banner movies and his career also saw a remarkable step after he joined a sports show as a host, he again asked Amrita to marry him.
Although, she refused once again. She stated that suddenly, all the film offers she had got failed to take off. And in 2012, she got to work in movies such as Jolly LLB, Satyagraha, and Singh Sahab the Great.
“I was on a high again and Anmol said let’s get married. I said things are getting back on track, these films will be released, I am now looking for even bigger films. If I got married, this news might just affect my career severely,” she said. She was quite nervous about the media abandoning her as unconnected after her wedding.
However, Anmol made up with the idea of a secret wedding. “I thought that if we can keep our affair a secret for 4-5 years, can we not hide our marriage too,” he said in the video.
Amrita has quickly admitted the idea. Amrita Rao stated that they could not invite their cousins to the wedding because everything was allegedly hidden from the media. They declared that they actually got married on May 15, 2014, and assured to share pictures and all the details regarding their wedding in their next video.
On the professional front, Amrita Rao made her acting debut with Shahid Kapoor in Ishq Vishk. Afterward, she starred in films such as Vivaah, Masti, and many more.
