Bollywood actor Angad Bedi’s father and legendary cricket spinner, Bishan Singh Bedi, peacefully passed away at the age of 77. After undergoing surgery two weeks earlier, Times Of India reported that he was hospitalized in Delhi. Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Thakur, confirmed the tragic news of his demise.

The news of Bishan Singh Bedi’s passing touched the hearts of not only his countless fans but also numerous Bollywood celebrities. Bedi’s indelible legacy is known for its contribution to the sport of cricket. He will continue to inspire enthusiasts for generations to come. Eminent personalities such as Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and many others conveyed their grief via social media.

In a heartfelt tribute, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Growing up, our lives are moulded by the spirit, the gusto, and sheer grace of people.”  He added that Mr. #BishanSinghBedi was one of them. He continued to add that May God bless his soul. Shah Rukh Khan thanked him for teaching so much about sports and life.
