Business Raj Kundra who is in judicial custody in connection with the pornographic racket has once revealed that he runs multiple business ventures due to his wife Shilpa Shetty.
During an appearance in Kapil Sharma’s show when he asked Raj Kundra, “Itne zyada business sambhalne mushkil hai ki khoobsurat biwi ke nakhre Raj had revealed, “Isliye toh main itne business karta hoon (Why do you think I run so many businesses?).”

During the same interview, Raj was also asked about his source of income. Kapil had jokingly asked him he is often seen playing football with Bollywood stars and taking Shilpa on exotic vacations. “Bina kuch kiye paise kaise kamate ho aap” which left Raj, Shilpa and her sister in splits.

Shilpa then defended Raj by saying, “Yeh galat fehmi hai. Woh itne hardworking hai, main bata nahi sakti… Woh nikalte hai 9.30 ko Viaan ko school chhod ke seedhe jaate hai office (This is a wrong notion. He is so hardworking. He leaves home at 9.30; he goes straight to the office after dropping our son Viaan to school) and he comes home…sometimes, he is working till 9.30-10.”
A few days ago, Shilpa Shetty had broken her silence on Raj Kundra case and released an official statement, “Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed… not only to me but also to my family.”
She also requested the media to give her family some privacy. “I am a proud law-abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional for the last 29 years. People have put their faith in ME & I’ve never let anyone down. So, most importantly, I request you to respect my family’s and ‘my right’ to privacy in these times. We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course. Satyamev Jayate!”
