Bollywood actress Esha Deol once made an appearance on the known celebrity chat show ‘Rendevouz with Simi Garewal’ along with her mother Hema Malini. The actress shed light on a lesser-known aspect of her and her sister Ahana Deol’s upbringing. She shared that her father, veteran actor Dharmendra, had imposed certain dress code restrictions on her and her sister during their childhood. Esha revealed that their father did not allow them to wear shorts or sleeveless tops.
In a candid conversation with the veteran actress, Esha said that she and her sister used to wear Salwaar Kameez at home. She mentioned that her father, Dharmendra, believed in preserving traditional values and wanted his daughters to adhere to them. The actress was around 17 years during the interview and looked too innocent.
she even shared details about her father not going out to parties as he liked staying at home. Esha also divulged some troubling information about Dharmendra’s religious views. According to the actress, her father prevented them from attending parties and activities because he preferred that they stay at home. Esha stated that Hema Malini was the only person who helped her and Ahana.
In the same interview, Hema also talked about going against the family to get married to Dharmendra. Recently, the actor was seen at his grandson Karan Deol’s wedding. The actor has now shared an emotional note mentioning that he respects Hema Malini, Esha Ahana, and all his kids in the family. Although Hema Malini’s family was missing from the wedding Esha later shared a post to congratulate Karan Deol and Disha on their wedding.
