Indian Singer Sonu Nigam, who tested COVID-19 positive along with his wife and son in Dubai. On Tuesday night Sonu Nigam posted an Instagram video, informing his fans of his COVID diagnosis. The singer is currently in Dubai with his family. He has shared a blog to talk about his condition. Singer Sonu Nigam is currently in Dubai with his family and he has announced that he has tested positive for Covid-19, along with his wife, son, and sister-in-law. In the video, he shared that after testing COVID test was positive but his symptoms are mild and he doesn’t feel ill. “I feel we will have to live with it. Many times, I have performed at concerts while being down with viral fever, having a bad throat, or congestion. This feels a lot better than that, I am not dying,” he said. He went on to sing a bit and claimed that since he could sing well, he was alright. He said that since his wife, son and many others are also positive, he will now be able to spend more time with his son whom he had not met for a long time. “It’s a happy COVID family,” he said.
Stating that he is currently in Dubai and getting to spend some quality time with his son, the artist said, “I am in Dubai. I had to come to India to perform in Bhubaneswar and shoot for Super Singer season 3. I got myself tested and I was Covid positive. I got myself retested, I was still positive. I got myself retested, retested and I still turned out to be positive. But I think people will have to live with it. I have done concerts while suffering from the flu, viral, and congestion, and this is much better than that. I am Covid positive, but I am not dying. My throat is also fine. But I feel bad for the people who have faced loss because of me.”
He added that “Shaan performed in his stead in Odisha, while music composer Anu Malik is currently shooting for Super Singer season 3.” Speaking about how the third wave has affected their work once again, he said, “We have to be careful, not scared as this time it’s spreading a bit faster. I feel bad for theater people, I feel bad for movie makers as all our work has been affected in the past 2 years.”
