Luv Sinha, brother of Sonakshi Sinha, has finally addressed the speculation surrounding his absence from his sister’s wedding to Zaheer Iqbal on June 23. Luv’s decision to skip the ceremony has fueled numerous media speculations, with many wondering about the reasons behind it.

The actor has now clarified that his decision was rooted in a refusal to “associate with some people no matter what.”

Luv voiced his thoughts on the matter by sharing a media column on X, quoting a passage about the groom’s father. The excerpt from the Telegraph news piece highlighted concerns over Zaheer Iqbal’s father’s connections, describing a “grey area” regarding his “proximity to a politician whose ED enquiries had vanished in the ‘washing machine.’”

“A reason for anxiety was a rumour about the groom’s antecedents. With carefully curated news stories about his family business, nobody treads grey areas like the groom’s father’s proximity to a politician whose ED enquiries had vanished in the ‘washing machine’. Nor was there a whiff of the groom’s father’s stint in Dubai, which was rumoured to have ended rather abruptly,” read the passage Luv shared online.

He followed this by thanking the journalist for their “research” in another tweet. “The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team,” Luv added.

The wedding of Sonakshi and Zaheer was an intimate affair, held at her Bandra apartment with close family and friends, followed by a star-studded celebration at Mumbai’s Bastian.

Sonakshi’s parents, Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha were present at the ceremony and reception, but initially, it seemed that both of her brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha, had missed the event. However, Kussh Sinha later clarified his attendance, describing the period as a “sensitive time for the family.”

Speaking to News 18, Kussh stated, “I was present and I have only good wishes for my sister and will always wish her well.”
