Sara Ali Khan has managed to make a mark in the industry in a very short time with her talent and hard work. She debuted in Bollywood with Film Kedarnath and since then there is no looking back for the actress. Sara Ali Khan, who is busy promoting her upcoming film Coolie No.1, recently opened up about getting lesser screen time in films especially in Simmba with Ranveer Singh and now, in Coolie No 1 with Varun Dhawan.
In a recent interview, Sara Ali Khan was asked about her experience after working in two big-scale comedies and what she has learned about the space for women in the genre. To which Sara Ali Khan answered that she doesn’t compare herself with co-actors. As reported by PTI, the actress said, “When you’re working with people like Ranveer and Varun, aapki aukat nahin hoti (you are not in a position) to make such comparisons. You’re just thankful that people like Rohit, David sir, Ranveer or Varun are working with you. You just don’t want to compare these things.”
Further, Sara Ali Khan said that she doesn’t care much about the screen time because it’s the teachings and inspiration that she receives from the people that she works with that matters the most. Talking about it, she continued, “Screen time doesn’t matter because these people teach and inspire you so much. You are narrating a good story, entertaining people, so who cracked which joke is a battle I don’t want to get into.” Sara also said that she considers the film Simmba her movie as much as it was Ranveer. The actress said, “You have to own whatever you do. I don’t think it’s about comparison, about women versus men, me versus Ranveer or Varun. It’s a collective experience and energy, which will reflect on a scene and only make the film better. My goal is just that. It won’t be good if I start competing with Ranveer or Varun.”
