Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s latest designed sarees worn by a model drew a lot of attention on the internet. Despite donning his fancy outfit, the model, according to internet users, appeared depressed. Sabyasachi Mukherjee, one of the most sought-after designers, requires no introduction. Not only have his creations won the hearts of countless brides throughout the world, but they have also been featured in movies like Guzaarish, Raavan, English Vinglish, and Baabul. For those who don’t know, Sabyasachi was raised in a middle-class Bengali family. He received his big break when he took home the Grand Winner Award at the Mercedes Benz New Asia Fashion Week.

Since then, he has made no effort to turn back and is renowned for interpreting the thoughts of future brides to create the bridal attire of their dreams. However, numerous instances of severe trolling have been directed at his designs. The model’s face once more attracted the netizen’s attention as he unveiled his newest saree line.

Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s latest saree collection massively trolled for the model’s sad looks

Sabyasachi Mukherjee revealed his most recent collection of saree designs on April 5, 2023. The model was wearing an organza silk saree when the photos were taken. It had elegant zari embroidery with hand-cut sequins and stones that had been aged. The saree also has golden frills sewn into the hemline and a wide border with a red colour. Along with a red organza veil embellished with hand-cut sequins, the saree was worn with a matching printed and hand-embroidered top in a red shade.

The model also donned Sabyasachi heritage jewels along with the stunning saree. She wore a bold necklace and golden bangles in one series of photos. In contrast, she could be seen in the following batch of photos sporting a large maang teeka and matching jhumkas. The jewellery and the outfit as a whole were definitely drool-worthy.

A portion of online users, however, were not pleased with the images and made fun of the designer for using a depressing expression on the model’s face. The model, they alleged, appeared depressed while wearing his luxury outfit. After donning the gorgeous saree, many online commenters noted that his model appeared “unhappy,” “dukhi atma,” or “bimar dulhan.” Check out the feedback:

Sabyasachi Mukherjee and controversies

It has happened before that trolling has been directed at Sabyasachi’s branding or designs. Numerous other occasions, such as Mouni Roy’s Sabyasachi lehenga for her Bengali wedding, Deepika’s gothic-themed post-wedding party style evoking “Frida Kahlo on acid,” or Anushka’s reception outfit sporting an orange-hued saree, also served to cater Sabyasachi to a tremendous trolling. Furthermore, when Sabyasachi revealed his cooperation with the Swedish multinational clothing shop, H&M, on August 12, 2021, the collection sold out within minutes of its release.
