A Terrifying Ordeal

Nushrratt had traveled to Israel to attend the Haifa International Film Festival and promote her recent film, Akelli. In her statement, she recounted the terrifying experience: “We were woken up to the deafening sounds of bombs going off, a blaring siren, and complete and utter panic.” She further added that she and others were all rushed down into a ‘shelter’ in the basement of the hotel. Nushrratt also added that after what seemed like an endless wait, they learned that Israel was under attack.

Gratitude for Assistance

During the crisis, Nushrratt and her team made desperate calls for help. She expressed her deep gratitude for the Indian Government and the Israeli Embassy, who played a crucial role in ensuring their safe return during this difficult and life-threatening time. The actress concluded her note by saying, “As someone who has barely escaped a war zone, I cannot be more grateful today. I’m back home and safe with my family members and loved ones.”
