Actress Urvashi Rautela has finally spoken out about a leaked bathroom video that went viral recently. During the trailer launch event for her upcoming film Ghuspaithiya, Rautela clarified that the controversial clip was a scene from the movie, not a personal recording.
Speaking to Instant Bollywood, Rautela expressed her initial distress over the incident. “The day the clip went out, obviously, I was upset for that period of time. Of course, it is not my personal life. It is not a personal clip. It is part of the movie Ghuspaithiya,” she said.
When asked if she had ever been blackmailed over a private video, Rautela responded firmly, “No, no. I hope no girl ever has to go through such a situation. I wish for it.”
The authenticity of Rautela’s statement was confirmed on Friday when the trailer for Ghuspaithiya was released. The trailer includes the same scene that appeared in the viral video. Directed by Susi Ganeshan, Ghuspaithiya features Vineet Kumar Singh and Akshay Oberoi in pivotal roles and delves into the theme of cybercrime. The film is set for release on August 9 and has been jointly produced by M. Ramesh Reddy, Jyotika Shenoy, and Manjari Susi Ganeshan.
In related news, Rautela was recently hospitalized after suffering an injury on the set of her film NBK 109. According to a statement from her team, reported by Free Journal Press, the actress sustained a “terrible fracture.” NBK 109, directed and written by Bobby Kolli, also stars Nandamuri Balakrishna and Bobby Deol.
The incident involving the leaked video has sparked conversations about privacy and cybercrime, underlining the urgent need for better protections for individuals in the digital age. As Rautela navigates this controversy, her upcoming films continue to generate significant interest and anticipation among fans.
