The owner of a sweet shop complained to the Pydhonie police that people, including a rival shop owner, got angry over Munawar Faruqui’s visit to his shop after winning ‘Bigg Boss 17’. They caused trouble by throwing eggs at him. As a result, the police filed a case and issued a notice to the hotelier and his staff who allegedly threw the eggs.

According to the police, Faruqui attended an Iftar party on Tuesday at Mohammad Ali Road. A video on social media shows his fans creating chaos in a large crowd. Later, Faruqui went to the Noorani sweet shop near Minara Masjid, where fans gathered to see him.

Suddenly, someone threw eggs at the shop and Faruqui, prompting some people to attempt to cause trouble. Akhtar Noorani, the shop owner, then filed a complaint with the Pydhonie police.

The allegations state that a hotel owner and his staff threw eggs at Munawar Faruqui and verbally abused him because they were upset that he visited another shop. As a result, the Pydhonie police filed charges against seven individuals for rioting, threats, and unlawful assembly. All seven received notices under section 41 A of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
