Standup comedian Munawar Faruqui, known for winning “Lock Upp” and “Bigg Boss 17,” recently tied the knot for the second time. The wedding was a private affair attended only by close friends and family.

A Private Ceremony

According to a close family member, Munawar married Mehzabeen Coatwala, a makeup artist from the Memon community. Mehzabeen resides in Agripada, Mumbai Central, South Mumbai. The couple got married about 10 to 12 days ago in Mumbai and hosted a wedding reception at ITC Maratha with around 100 guests.

Wedding Rumors and Social Media Buzz

Speculation about Munawar’s second marriage started when a fan account posted about his secret wedding. A wedding invitation, believed to be from Munawar’s wedding, also began circulating online. Despite the rumors, neither Munawar nor Mehzabeen has shared any wedding photos on their social media handles.

Munawar’s first marriage ended in divorce, and he shares a son with his ex-wife. During his time on “Bigg Boss 17,” he spoke emotionally about his son, mentioning, “My ex-wife is married now, and I have custody of my son.” In 2022, Munawar revealed in an interview that he only communicates with his ex-wife regarding their son’s expenses and has no other contact with her.

Previously, Munawar faced controversies when his ex-girlfriends, Ayesha Khan and Nazila Sitashi, accused him of cheating. Despite these issues, he has continued to focus on his career and personal life.

No Confirmation on Love or Arranged Marriage

There has been no official confirmation on whether Munawar’s marriage to Mehzabeen is a love marriage or an arranged one. The couple has chosen to keep their relationship details private, focusing instead on celebrating their union with close ones.
