Actor Mrunal Thakur expressed her discontent after a fan posted an edited video featuring her celebrating Diwali with him. The video, which showed the fan “bursting firecrackers” alongside the actress, quickly caught her attention. In response, Thakur commented on the post, questioning the fan’s intentions and making it clear that she did not find the gesture “cool.” However, the comment was later deleted.
In her initial reaction, Thakur wrote, “Bhai kyu jhooti tassali de raha hain aap apne aap ko? Apko lagta hai aap jo yeh kar rahe hain woh cool hai? Ji nahi (Brother, why are you giving yourself the wrong impression? Do you think what you’re doing is cool? It is not)!” Her response quickly sparked discussions among fans, some supporting her stance while others defended the fan’s gesture.

Hours later, the actress took to her Instagram Stories, sharing the same edited video but with a different perspective. She captioned it: “Hope you edit good films one day! Good Luck, Happy Diwali.” In a subsequent story, Thakur further clarified her stance through a video message, explaining her initial reaction and the reasons behind her softened tone.
In her video, Thakur humorously asked fans, “Guys, ap log bacche ki jaan logey kya? (Guys, please stop?)” She admitted feeling pleased initially, thinking she was at least “celebrating Diwali with someone.” However, her feelings changed after visiting the fan’s page, where she noticed similar edited videos featuring other actresses. “My heart was broken! I was so sad!” she remarked, adding that while she appreciates the fan’s editing skills, she hoped he would use his talent for the right reasons.
Thakur also urged her followers not to judge or send negative comments to the fan, acknowledging that his intentions might not have been harmful. “His intention was maybe not bad. I just hope woh aur logon ka dil na tode (I hope he doesn’t break more hearts),” she said, ending on a compassionate note.
