Legendary actor Dilip Kumar left for heavenly abode on Wednesday. The actor has been going through age-related health issues for the longest time now. For those who are unaware, he was admitted to Mumbai’s Hinduja hospital last month. The actor’s wife has stood by him like a rock and has been updating his fans about his health. Dr. Jali Prakash confirmed the news of his demise on social media.
Speaking to Indian Express, he revealed that the veteran actor passed away at 7.30 am on Wednesday.” He passed away due to prolonged illness. He was 98,” he added. Faisal Farooqui shared the news of his death through the actor’s official Twitter account. He wrote, “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, a few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him, we return. – Faisal Farooqui.”

Bollywood actors took to their respective social media handles to mourn the passing away of the legendary actor. Akshay Kumar wrote, ” ‘To the world may others may be heroes.
