Kirti was deeply impacted by this, and her relationship with Taapsee was damaged. In her words:
“I think it did. I don’t know from her side, maybe she didn’t notice it. She has been nice to me but that whole PR game, I took it a little personally. When I saw the trailer I had a bit of a meltdown.”
Kirti even stated that when offered Pink, she had no regard about who was great or tiny in the entertainment field. She looked into the film as a story of three girls. Kirti revealed that she comes from a place where everyone seemed to be an actress. But Pink treated her as if she were a little actress who was ignored. She attributed her feelings to the persons in her immediate vicinity.

Kirti even disclosed that Shoojit Sircar, the film’s director, told her not to worry and to let the movie be released because he never performed any public relations. Kirti said:
“However, during the promotions, the PR machinery happened for Taapsee because she came after Mr Bachchan (in terms of hierarchy) in that film. Eventually, it became her film and she became the Pink girl in terms of positioning and I saw that happening in front of me. This was the first shocker for me because I couldn’t understand this.”
