Kaju Katli Recipe | Diwali Sweets Special | Woman’s Era

Cashew nuts – 2 cups Sugar – 3/4 cup Water – 100 ml Cardamom powder – 1/2 TSP Khoya – 1/2 cup grated Silver leaves – for decorating

Method 1. Churn Cashews into a dry powder in a grinder and seive it to collect finer Cashew powder. Re-grind the remaining Cashew pieces in the seive and repeat the process to get a fine Cashew mixture for barfi making. 2. In a saucepan combine water and sugar and heat it till sugar dissolves. 3. To this add Cashew powder and mix well. Now add khoya, cardamom powder and cook for a few minutes till it reaches a thick setting consistency. 4. Transfer it to a plate lined with butter paper and let it cool . Once warm enough to handle , grease a Thali and spread the barfi mix in it keeping the fudge height around 1/4 inches. 5. Leave to cool. After it has cooled, decorate with silver leaves and cut out diamond shapes of Katli. 6. Enjoy with friends and family.
