In a recent turn of events, Asim Riaz’s dramatic exit from “Khatron Ke Khiladi 14” has sparked significant controversy, with fellow actor Shilpa Shinde coming to his defense. During an interview with Times Now, Shinde alleged that the model-rapper faced bullying and provocation on the sets of the adventure reality show, currently being filmed in Romania.
Shinde passionately defended Asim, asserting that he was not entirely at fault in the incident that led to his expulsion from the show. “Kuch bhi nahin hua tha. Aap ke sar paani chala jata hai. Down-to-earth hona chahiya. Ek banda ek taraf aur baki ek jhoondh hai, usko bhadkaya gaya as they knew his nature. Sablog success handle nahin kar pate. Sab log galat the, sab log sahi the. Maine use baar baar bola ki woh chup rahe, bahas na kare,” she said, indicating that Asim was provoked by others who were aware of his temperament.
Shinde further explained that Asim’s nature was misinterpreted. “He wanted to share his experience and the pain he has gone through. Usko zyada bolne ki aadat hai. Usko chup karana padta hai. Uske bolne ka andaaz galat ho sakata hai,” she added, emphasizing that Asim’s talkativeness, rather than aggression, led to misunderstandings on the show.
The incident that culminated in Asim’s eviction involved a task where he, Aashish Mehrotra, and Niyati Fatnan participated. While Mehrotra and Fatnan completed the task, Asim failed, subsequently losing his temper and calling the challenge impossible. He challenged the show’s team to perform the task in front of him, claiming he wouldn’t accept any payment from the show. In response, host Rohit Shetty showed him a rehearsal video where the team successfully completed the task, highlighting that all stunts are pre-tested for safety.
Following the confrontation, Rohit Shetty reprimanded Asim for his behavior, ultimately leading to Asim’s removal from the show. “Kal bhi tune bahot bakwaas ki. Sun meri baat sunle warna mei utha ke yahi patak dunga. Aise mere se badtameezi nahi karna,” Shetty warned before asking Asim to leave.
