Bollywood’s power couple, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, epitomize royalty. Their family tree boasts luminaries like Soha Ali Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and Saif’s ex-wife, Amrita Singh. Each has left its mark in the world of entertainment. Kareena, hailing from the illustrious Kapoor clan, married Saif, the 10th Nawab of Pataudi, connecting two legendary families. While the Pataudi Palace stands as a symbol of their regal lifestyle, the couple also owns properties in Mumbai, Switzerland, and beyond.

A Glimpse into Pataudi Palace:

The historic Pataudi Palace, designed by architects Robert Tor Russel and Karl Moltz Von Heinz in 1972, holds a rich legacy. Originally named Ibrahim Kothi, it belonged to Iftikhar Ali Khan, the 8th Nawab of Pataudi, before passing down to Mansoor Ali Khan and eventually to Saif. Despite its heritage, Saif couldn’t occupy the palace until 2014.

A Royal Retreat:

Valued at Rs. 800 crores, the palace serves as a cherished vacation spot for the Khan family. In 2020, amidst the pandemic, they retreated here for a month, seeking respite from their hectic schedules.

Spanning 10 acres, the palace boasts over 150 rooms, including bedrooms, dressing rooms, billiard rooms, and majestic drawing and dining halls. It provided the backdrop for Taimur’s first birthday celebration.

A Glimpse Inside:

The opulent dining area, adorned with antique paintings and chandeliers, exudes grandeur. Saif’s love for books is evident in the palace’s extensive library, where he often immerses himself in historical tomes.

The palace features multiple lounging areas adorned with floral motifs, statement rugs, and artwork. Vintage furniture and library shelves add to its aristocratic charm. While Saif’s name graces the palace, his sister, Soha Ali Khan, frequents it with her family. Through her Instagram posts, Soha offers glimpses into their royal abode.

A Cinematic Marvel:

The palace has served as a backdrop for several movie shoots, including “Veer Zaara,” “Eat, Pray, Love,” and “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan,” adding to its cinematic allure. Kareena and Saif’s Pataudi Palace isn’t just a residence; it’s a living testament to their royal lineage and enduring legacy in Bollywood.
