‘I Felt Very Humiliated, It Felt Like A Lot of Violence Was Done To Me”, Kangana Ranaut Opens On Her House Demolition!!

Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut has now entered politics after her successful acting career. Recently, she won the general election from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh. Actress-turned-MP Kangana Ranaut recently clarified that her entry into politics is not a result of the 2020 incident. In 2020, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation demolished a part of her Mumbai house amid her feud with the state’s ruling party Shiv Sena.

Kangana Ranaut, while speaking on a Himachali podcast, said, ‘I felt very humiliated, it felt like a lot of violence was done to me. A house is an extension of you, but mine was violently broken, it felt like a personal attack at that time. That incident made me realize how many people in Maharashtra supported me and to what extent India supported me.’

The actress said, ‘Everyone knows the Shiv Sena incident and people have told me that I am courageous. That incident has a special fan following.’ In another conversation, Kangana said on joining politics, ‘I was approached in 2019 as well. If I was not interested in it, I really would not have to go through so much trouble.’

Talking about Kangana Ranaut’s work front, she will soon be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film Emergency. The film is based on the Emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi in 1975. Big actors like Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Satish Kaushik and Mahima Chaudhary will also be seen in this film. The film has been delayed several times and is expected to hit theaters this year.

Kangana’s fans are eagerly waiting for the release of ‘Emergency’. She has also directed it. Kangana’s directorial debut was the 2019 historical war drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, in which she also played the lead role of Rani Lakshmibai. Co-directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the film earned her her fourth National Award for Best Actress.
