Ayesha Jhulka started her career in the 90s with her first film ‘Kurbaan’ opposite Salman Khan. The actress became a household name as her debut movie became a blockbuster. Since then there was no looking back for the actress as she continued to work opposite the biggest stars including Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Jackie Shroff, Aamir Khan, and others.
Years later the actress is all set to make her comeback with web series on OTT platforms. In an interview, she narrated her journey, chemistry with co-stars, and also catfights on the sets. However, Ayesha also talked about the most difficult phase in her life when she got to know about another great actress Divya Bharti’s death.
Ayesha said that there were hardly any catfights on the sets between the actresses. According to her, there were hardly any fights and things were blown out of proportion quite often. She added why nobody talked about the friendship that the female actresses shared. She then went on to talk about her bond with Divya Bharti.
Ayesha mentioned that she and Divya used to share a great friendship. Both even worked as sisters in a film called Rang. And, when Ayesha got to know about Divya’s death she couldn’t function. She reminisced that the dubbing of their film together was canceled thrice as she couldn’t do it. She kept crying after watching Divya on the screen and got too emotional.
In the same interview, Ayesha also talked about surrendering herself completely to the director and the team. “You have to trust the team and the director and surrender yourself,” she said on asking about a scene where Akshay spits on her.
