When it comes to true love in the Indian film industry in recent times, there’s only one couple that comes to our mind, Genelia D’souza and Riteish Deshmukh. The duo is the most cutest and adorable couple who dated each other for almost a decade and then tied the knot. The couple met on the film sets of “Tujhe Meri Kasam” in the year 2003 and got married in the year 2012.
However, their magical love story first started with a little bit of rife as Genelia wasn’t initially talking to Ritiesh. In an interview, Genelia disclosed that she knew that Ritiesh was the son of then Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Vilasrao Deshmukh, and she thought that he must be arrogant and rowdy. But to her surprise, Riteish was none like that and was completely the opposite of what she thought.
The two soon became friends and then best friends and eventually took vows with each other. The two married by following all the Hindu and Christian rituals. The couple’s wedding is an example of one true love story. And, the wedding vows of the couple were even more interesting and heartwarming.
“We enjoy our time together. Romance and all are big words. Just the fact you enjoy each other, love each other and you ‘can’ spend 24 hours of a day with each other is important,” stated Genelia in her wedding vow.
While Ritiesh didn’t step back either and in his wedding vow he mentioned keeping the “freshness” in a marriage. He said that “breaking the routine and maintaining the oh factor in a wedding is important”. Both the actors and partners stood together with each other in every situation. The couple today are parents to two sons.
