With films like Padmaavat, Chennai Express, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Bajirao Mastani, Chhapaak, and others, she has successfully carved a niche for herself in Bollywood. Deepika Padukone, who played Veronica in the 2012 film Cocktail, said the character had a personal impact on her in a throwback interview with the Hindustan Times. Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty starred in the film, which also featured Boman Irani, Dimple Kapadia, and Randeep Hooda in supporting roles. She also stated that the character Veronica was a hit and that it resonated with a large number of people. “There was something about that character that the audience empathized with.”
Furthermore, she talked about preparing for the role. She stated that when she was given the script to read, she assumed it was for Meera’s character (who was played by Diana Penty).
