The ongoing divorce battle between actress Dalljiet Kaur and her estranged husband Nikhil Patel has taken a dramatic turn, with both parties publicly levelling accusations against each other. In a recent Instagram Live session, Kaur brought attention to Nikhil’s rumoured relationship with Safeena Nazar, accusing her of exacerbating the situation.
Kaur’s Public Statements
During the Instagram Live, Kaur voiced her frustrations and raised questions about her estranged husband’s motives and actions. “If he was already happy doing what he is doing today, why did he marry me?” she asked, implying that their marriage may have been a strategic move by Patel.
She continued, addressing the rumours surrounding Patel and Safeena Nazar, saying, “People are correct when they say that it is a woman who destroys another woman’s life. I am not blaming her, but I think I will blame her. When there are problems between a husband and wife, no third person should step in to fill the void. It is morally wrong.”
Kaur Questions Nazar’s Role
Kaur also questioned Nazar’s involvement in their strained marriage, stating, “You are a married woman with two kids. How are you filling the void of someone else’s husband? I will carry this question with me for the rest of my life.”
Legal Battle Escalates
The conflict between the couple escalated last month when Kaur filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Patel at the Agripada police station in Mumbai. The case was registered under sections 85 and 316 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, accusing Patel of cruelty and criminal breach of trust.
In response, Patel sent Kaur a legal notice following her Instagram accusations of him having an extramarital affair. Patel also warned that if Kaur did not retrieve her belongings from his home in Kenya, he would donate them to charity.
