Bigg Boss 14 ended with a bang yesterday as Rubina Dilaik was announced the winner of the season. While Rubina took the trophy and 36 lakhs home, Rakhi Sawant also bagged the opportunity to take home a whopping sum of Rs 16 lakhs. It was during the grand finale that Ritesh Deshmukh entered the house and offered the contestants to back out with 16 lakhs. Rakhi quickly pressed the buzzer and quit the show with the amount. She was quite satisfied with leaving the show and taking home the sum. She even mentioned that the amount is enough for her to pay for her mother’s medical bills. Now that the show is over,  another finalist Nikki Tamboli opens up about losing 16 lakhs to Rakhi.

In an interview with ETimes, Nikki Tamboli stated that it was never about money for her but she wanted to stay in the house till the end. She mentioned that she would have not got to know about being the top three had she taken the prize money. Nikki stated that Rakhi needed the money more than her and that she does not regret losing out on it.

Nikki Tamboli was quoted saying, “No, I don’t regret that I didn’t get that money because even when I was offered Rs 6 lakh during the task, I refused it as I wanted to stay in the show. Bigg Boss has got me this far in my career and given me fame. I had thought of taking the bag if offered during the finale as from the show and game’s point of view, the audience only remembers the winners and the contestants who have decided to take the cash and leave the show. But I am fine if it did not happen.”

She further added, “I was never eyeing the cash, my intention was that people should remember me. I feel Rakhi Sawant needed that money more than me. When I was offered the money during the grand finale, I was not sure if I would make it to the top three. Had I taken the money and opted out, I would never have never got to know that my fans were voting and fighting for me. They loved me and I made it to the Top three, that’s a big achievement for me, so I don’t regret not getting that money.”
