Shaheer Shaikh and Ruchikaa Kapoor had tied the knot last year in November after dating each other for a year and a half. They had a court marriage keeping in mind the pandemic situation and were planning to have an extravagant social wedding in June this year. It was also reported that the couple flew off to Shaheer’s hometown in Jammu where they had a small informal ceremony post their court marriage. They also had another ceremony at Ruchika’s house in Mumbai. Now just a few months after their marriage the couple is all set to embrace parenthood and they are ecstatic about it. Though the couple has been tight-lipped about the news a little birdie has informed ETimes about this news.

A source close to the couple had shared, “Shaheer is known to keep a low profile in the media and doesn’t like to talk about his personal life. He has been tight-lipped about the news, keeping in mind the current pandemic situation in the country. Ruchikaa is in her first trimester. They’re both looking forward to embracing this new phase in their lives.”

In an interview a few months after their marriage, Shaheer had shared, “Ruchikaa is an honest person. The best part about our relationship is that we are friends first. Being an actor, I have to pretend and play a character in front of the camera all the time, but I have found a partner with whom I get to be myself. I’ve always said that I am a ‘wanderer’ and that I have finally found the right companion. I am looking forward to my never-ending travels with her.”
