Aparshakti Khurana, who rose to fame with his debut in Aamir Khan’s Dangal, recently opened up about the challenges he faced in his early acting career. In an interview with The Lallantop, the actor shared an incident where he was barred from attending the trailer launch of one of his films by a fellow lead actor.

Trailer Launch Snub

The actor’s revelation came during a discussion sparked by his Berlin co-star Rahul Bose, who shared a similar experience from his debut film. Bose recounted that he wasn’t provided with a chair on the set and, since then, has made it a habit to carry his own chair to every film set. Aparshakti then weighed in with his own story of being sidelined during a significant moment in his career.

Without naming the lead actor involved, Aparshakti described how he was told just minutes before the trailer launch that he would not be allowed on stage. “It was an amazing set, everyone performed well, and we all knew the film was good. But three minutes before the trailer launch, the lead actor told the producer, ‘Apar should not be on stage. Call all the other actors,’” he said.

The actor had flown in from Amritsar specifically to attend the event. “I came just for the trailer launch,” Aparshakti said, highlighting how he had been excited to participate, especially given his love for fashion and dressing up in vibrant colors.

Aparshakti recalled standing backstage as all the other actors were called on stage. A PR person approached him, claiming there had been a last-minute change and that he would receive a separate introduction. However, as he waited for his turn, the entire event concluded, leaving him stunned. “I waited 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, and by then the whole trailer launch was over. People had left,” he recounted.

Upcoming Projects

On the work front, Aparshakti is set to appear in Atul Sabharwal’s upcoming spy thriller Berlin, which also stars Ishwak Singh, Rahul Bose, Anupriya Goenka, and Kabir Bedi. In addition, he will feature in Navjot Gulati’s comedy-drama Badtameez Gill, alongside Vaani Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Sheeba Chaddha, and Monica Chaudhary.
