Alia Bhatt Expresses Dislike for Being Told She Has ‘Changed’: ‘It Would Be Terrifying To Be…’ – Here’s Why!

Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt recently expressed her dislike for being accused of changing as a person. A leading actress in Bollywood, she is highly sought after by filmmakers and actors alike. With stellar performances in films like Raazi, Highway, Darlings, Dear Zindagi, and Gangubai Kathiawadi, she has won countless hearts. In a recent interview, she admitted that such accusations bother her.

Alia Bhatt expresses her dislike for being labeled a ‘changed person’

Recently, in a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, she shared some interesting facts about herself. When asked what she dislikes hearing the most, the actress promptly expressed her frustration with being told she has “changed.” Explaining why, Alia said: “One thing that I dislike people saying to me is, “Ae, you’ve changed.” And to me, that’s like – okay, I think that’s good. It would be terrifying to be the same person that you were when you were 16 years old. Change is good.” 

During the conversation, the Jigra actress was asked to share three things she wished she had known when entering Bollywood. Alia responded that she wished someone had told her that change is the only constant in her career. She also felt she should have been reassured that it’s okay not to have everything figured out at once, mistakes are part of learning. Lastly, she wished someone had advised her always to carry a snack from the start.

Alia Bhatt reveals if it’s easy for her to say ‘no’ to others 

In the same conversation, Alia Bhatt spoke about setting boundaries and emphasised that saying ‘no’ comes naturally to her. While many struggle with it, she understands that agreeing to everything means neglecting herself. She sees it as a form of self-protection and believes there is nothing wrong with it. She said: “Especially as an artist, I’m not sure about other departments, but as an artist, I think a lot of what you give is what you conserve as well. So conserving is okay. That’s your right.”
