While the entire nation was still mourning the untimely demise of two stalwarts of the entertainment industry Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor, we came across another gut-wrenching rumour on social media that veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is hospitalised. And it had turned the atmosphere gloomier. And we heaved a sigh of relief only after his family confirmed to IANS that he is healthy and confined in his residence in the city.

Later, Shah’s son also rubbished the rumours of his father’s ill health through a Twitter post. In the post, Vivaan Shah told his father’s well wishers that he is fine and condoled the deaths of Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor. He wrote, “All well everyone! Baba’s just fine. All the rumours about his health are fake. He’s keeping well Folded handsPraying for Irfan Bhai and Chintu ji. Missing them a lot. Deepest condolences to their families. Even Naseeruddin Shah took to his Facebook account to thank his fans and wrote, “I thank all those enquiring after my health and reassure them I am fine. I’m at home and observing the lockdown. Please don’t believe any rumours.”

Coming back to Irrfan Khan’s untimely death, the Angrezi Medium actor was suffering from cancer for the last two and a half years and was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday. He passed away on Wednesday morning after suffering from Colon infection. Talking about Rishi Kapoor, the legendary actor passed away after being hospitalised in the HN Reliance hospital after complaining of breathing problems. He was a cancer patient and was battling the deadly disease for the past two years.
