Satish Kaushik, an actor-director, died on Wednesday in New Delhi after suffering a heart attack. Satish’s untimely demise has left the business in disbelief. A day before his death, the actor posted a series of cheerful and colourful photos from a Holi celebration at the home of lyricist Javed Akhtar and actor Shabana Azmi in Bombay.

In the comments section of Satish’s last post, several admirers expressed their sorrow and affection for the late actor, with one commenting, “Still can’t believe he is no more… I was just reading all those images a few hours ago… and then I got the news… RIP.” Another admirer remarked, “Life is so unexpected,” while a third said, “Rest in peace.”

On Thursday morning, actor Anupam Kher announced Satish’s death on social media, writing, “I know ‘death is the ultimate reality of this planet!'” But I never imagined I’d be writing this about my best buddy #SatishKaushik while still alive. What an abrupt conclusion to a 45-year friendship!! SATISH, life will never be the same without you! “Oh, Shanti!”

Satish Kaushik was a well-known actor and filmmaker. He made his acting debut in 1983 and was most recently seen in the film Chhatriwali, starring Rakul Preet Singh.
