Veteran actor Arvind Trivedi was popular for playing Ravana in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan. The character was so iconic that people still remember Arvind’s performance from the show. In an unfortunate piece of news we inform you that the great artist passed away on Tuesday, due to a heart attack, he was aged 82. The nephew of the legendary artist, Kaustubh Trivedi confirmed the news of his passing.

Kaustubh shared with Times of India, “He was not keeping well for quite some time, but today he suffered a heart attack and that led to multi-organ failure.” His iconic performance as Ravana is hard to forget. The other legendary actors from the tv series include Arun Govil, Sunil Lahri, and Dipika Chikhlia as Ram, Lakshman, and Sita respectively. It is one of the popular tv series of DD national which was aired again on TV last year amid the pandemic.

Actor Sunil Lahri played Lakshman in the serial took to his Instagram handle to express his condolences. “Bahut dukhad Samachar hai ki Hamare Sabke Pyare Arvind bhai (Ravan of Ramayan) Ab Hamare bich Nahin Rahe. (It’s very sad news that our beloved Arvind (Ravan of Ramayan) is no longer with us).”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his Twitter handle to express his condolence to the late actor’s family. He wrote, “We have lost Shri Arvind Trivedi, who was not only an exceptional actor but also was passionate about public service. For generations of Indians, he will be remembered for his work in the Ramayan TV serial. Condolences to the families and admirers of both actors. Om Shanti.”
