Divyanka Tripathi talks about experiencing nightmares while filming for Crime Patrol

During the conversation, the actress reflected on her experience hosting Crime Patrol’s special edition on ‘Women Against Crime’. She shared how she would request the show’s team to provide full details of the real-life crime cases featured on the program. However, over time, learning about these cases began to have a negative impact on her mental well-being. She stated:

“Main Crime Patrol anchor kar rahi thi. Kafi sare episodes the, Women Against Crime ka ka ek segment tha. Mera condition tha ki sirf anchoring nahi karungi, mujhe kahani bhi jaanani hai. Ab har baar pata chalta ki main kahaani jaanu, wahan ladki ghar se nikli haste khelte aur kuch ho gaya. Har kahani pe woh horror tha.”

Divyanka shared that after hearing these stories, she would often find herself reflecting on how a typical day for a girl could end in horror. Over time, this led to recurring nightmares. She also mentioned that the next morning, she would wake up with headaches and head straight to the set to shoot again. This cycle continued for about three to four months. Her husband, Vivek, emphasized the importance for actors to learn how to emotionally disconnect from their on-screen roles in order to avoid such situations. Reflecting on her experience shooting the show, Divyanka recalled:

“Pata chalta ki main anchoring ke script padhte padhte raat ko mujhe nightmares aa rahe hain, aur next din main headache leke pahunch rahi hoon shoot pe. That happened for 3–4 months, and it affected me.”
