Bollywood is all about glitz and glamour here every celebrity needs to look good even in their sleep. There is an extreme pressure of looking presentable and ‘desirable’ 24x 7 especially on the actresses. Every Bollywood diva works hard on their body and follow an extensive skin care regime to get a flawless look and come across as refreshed every time you see them.

However, Yami Gautam has decided to go against this and has opened about her skin condition which she has been dealing from years. The actress on Monday posted a few pictures of herself on her Instagram handle and shared about the incurable skin condition she has been dealing with since her teenage years.

Yami in her Instagram post informed her Insta family that her pictures were going for post-production, and she has decided to embrace her skin condition instead of ‘concealing’ it. “I recently shot for some images and just when they were about to go in for post-production (a common procedure) to conceal my skin-condition called Keratosis- Pilaris, I thought, ‘Hey Yami, why don’t you embrace this fact and accept it enough to be OKAY with it. Just let it be… (Yes, I do talk out loud to myself), she wrote in her post.

She further described the condition to her followers, “For those who haven’t heard about this, it’s a skin condition wherein you get tiny bumps on the skin. I promise they aren’t as bad as your mind and your neighbor aunty makes it out to be) I developed this skin condition during my teenage years, and there is still no cure for it”, she added.

I also found the courage to share my truth with you. Phew! I didn’t feel like airbrushing my folliculitis or smoothing that ‘under-eye’ or ‘shaping up’ that waist a tiny bit more! And yet, I feel beautiful :),” she concluded.
