Frequently criticized for her travel habits and parenting decisions, Charu recently addressed her detractors, urging them to think carefully before passing judgment. 
In an interview with ETimes, Charu highlighted the importance of financial independence in her situation. She responded directly to critics questioning her frequent travels, explaining that her professional commitments are necessary to support her family. “You all also complained that I keep travelling. If I don’t travel for events, mera ghar kaun chalayega? (Who will run my house)? Who is going to take care of my kid?” Charu asked, defending her decisions. She emphasized that while she’s open to criticism, she expects people to “use their brain and think logically” before making assumptions.
During the conversation, Charu also addressed her decision to temporarily step away from acting, sharing that her focus is currently on her three-year-old daughter, Ziana. “If I did a TV show, I would have had to stay out for 16-17 hours. There’s no time limit,” she explained, revealing her concerns about being away from her young child for long periods.
Charu also responded to comments about her visits with her former husband, actor Rajeev Sen, who is also the younger brother of actor Sushmita Sen. She clarified that she cannot leave her daughter alone, stating, “If I take Ziana to meet Rajeev, people question that. But if I left her alone, they’d have a problem with that too.”
