Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim took to social media on January 22 to announce that they would soon be parents. The couple is expecting their first kid as a couple. Dipika followed up the announcement with a video on her YouTube channel in which she discussed the challenges she experienced and how there was a blood clot, which was concerning.
The doctor advised Dipika Kakar to rest and take medicine. She was also told not to travel and to come just for scans. Dipika mentioned the challenges in the video and stated, that she started noticing spotting which wasn’t much in the beginning, and hence the doctor had asked her to take rest. “But within two days, it increased. That’s when I was asked to come down for a scan,” she said.
Dipika mentioned that the scan revealed that there was a little bleeding. It was dangerous because the infant was so little at the time. And the blood was far worse. It was concerning. The doctor prescribed the necessary medications and ordered strict bed rest for Dipika. “I used to lie down all day and wander from one room to the next,” she continued.
Not only that, but the actress acquired a cold and cough as a result of her weakened immunity. Her sickness had progressed to the point that she required antibiotics, spray, and inhalers under the supervision of her doctors. Earlier, the couple had announced their pregnancy with a heartfelt note in which they mentioned that it is the biggest moment of the couple’s life.
