Taapsee Pannu has candidly discussed her contentious relationship with the paparazzi. In a revealing interview with Fever FM, the acclaimed actor expressed her frustration with photographers, accusing them of exploiting her statements and videos for commercial gain.

“How will you click on the news then? Tell me who clicks on positive news? When was the last time you clicked on a positive news? Now, this kind of news is more sensational. ‘She’s being nasty and rude to paparazzi’ so everyone is like, ‘Kya ho gaya, kya ho gaya, dekhna padega’ (what happened? let’s see). So that is more exciting for an audience,” Taapsee remarked, highlighting the sensationalism often prioritised over positive coverage.

Explaining her stance on not pandering to the paparazzi, Taapsee said, “These things aren’t fetching me films. My films speak for themselves. So I don’t have to appease a section of so-called media. I don’t even call them direct media because they’re serving their vested interest, wanting someone to just click on their portal. I don’t call them media. Media is not supposed to desperately put out lines or videos just for clicks.”

The actor also mentioned the intrusive behavior of the paparazzi, noting their tendency to invade her personal space by coming too close, shouting, or chasing her car. She emphasized that she doesn’t want to apologise for her privilege but expects respect for her privacy and personal space.

In other news, Taapsee is set to appear in two upcoming films: Phir Haseen Dillruba and Khel Khel Mein. Amid her busy promotion schedule, she has taken time off to support her husband, Mathias Boe, who is coaching India’s men’s badminton doubles team at the Paris Olympics. Taapsee shared a picture on her Instagram Stories, revealing that she and her sister, Shagun Pannu, are heading to the French capital on a Vistara flight.
