Living in the US, Shweta recalls the haunting night of June 13 when her husband delivered the devastating news of Sushant’s passing. “A numbing chill overtook me, and I was immobilized in bed, overwhelmed by shock,” she describes. Shweta emphasizes that despite the intense emotional turmoil, she found herself not screaming or crying but instead entering a state of profound shock absorption, rooted in her spiritual practices.
A Heartrending Night: The Moment of Loss
Regrettably, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Shweta faced significant challenges in travelling from the US to India. By the time she secured a ticket and arrived in India, she was met with the heart-wrenching reality that Sushant had already been cremated. “The agony of not being able to see him one last time, to bid him a proper goodbye, it was infuriating and left me with a sense of unresolved anger and a lack of closure,” she expresses.

Their unique bond, filled with love and deep understanding, paints a picture of a sibling relationship that was truly special and heartwarming.
Shweta’s narrative pays tribute to the cherished memories shared with Sushant and poignantly highlights the profound grief and void left by his sudden departure. Her words testify to the enduring love and connection that siblings share, transcending even the most tragic circumstances.
