Actor Kamal Haasan and Sarika had tied the knot in 1998 but after 16 years of marital bliss, the couple had to end their marriage due to irreconcilable differences. The couple shares two beautiful daughters Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan. Now in a recent interview, Shruti Haasan spilled the beans on her parent’s divorce and shared that if two people don’t get along they should not stay together for any reason. She also revealed that she was really excited for them to live their own lives after they got divorced.
In an interaction with Zoom Digital, the actress was quoted as saying, “I was just excited for them (parents) to live their own lives. I was glad they separated as I do not think two people who are not getting along, should get along for some reason. They continue to be wonderful parents. I am particularly close to my dad. My mum is doing well and is a part of our lives as well. It actually panned out for the best.”

She had further added, “They are both uniquely wonderful and beautiful people. They were not that beautiful together anymore. That does not take away their individual beauty as human beings. When they separated, I was very young, and it was very simple, they were happier apart than they were together”.
